Quality planning

Convert Contract Requirements into Inspection Points

Quality control begins with the approved drawings, specifications, applicable standards, inspection and test plan, document schedule and agreed customer witness points.

Inputs

Review the released basis

Check current drawings, bill of materials, procedures and acceptance criteria before work.

Execution

Record inspection at the source

Use identified equipment, traceable forms and responsible sign-off at defined stages.

Release

Close nonconformities

Resolve deviations and compile the agreed dossier before shipment authorization.

Manufacturing stages

Typical Control Points for a Disc Filter Project

The exact inspection plan depends on contract, equipment configuration and applicable standards.

StageExamples of checksEvidence to agree
Incoming materialIdentity, dimensions, condition and specified supplier documents.Receiving record, certificates or traceability record.
Fabrication and weldingFit-up, dimensions, weld procedure and visual or specified examination.Process records and inspection reports.
MachiningShaft, sealing faces, bores, fits, runout and surface requirements.Dimensional report and measuring-equipment identification.
AssemblyOrientation, fastening, lubrication, clearance, rotation and interfaces.Assembly checklist and punch list.
CoatingSurface preparation, environmental conditions, system and thickness where specified.Coating report and repair record.
Final releaseConfiguration, functional checks, marking, packing and document status.Final inspection and release dossier.
Hold-point logic

Stop, Verify and Release the Next Stage

A recorded hold point protects features that cannot be fully inspected after assembly or coating.

1

Plan

Approve criteria, forms and witness points.

2

Inspect inputs

Verify materials and released documents.

3

Control process

Check fabrication, machining and assembly stages.

4

Resolve findings

Record disposition, repair and re-inspection.

5

Release

Verify equipment, packing and dossier status.

Buyer review

Request Evidence Relevant to the Contract

Avoid asking for a generic certificate pack. Identify the records and witness access needed for the actual project.

Practical answers

Frequently Asked Questions

These answers support project preparation; the final recommendation depends on the actual duty.

Why is representative slurry data required?
Mineral names do not define filterability. Particle-size distribution, mineralogy, clay, reagents, solids and temperature can change cake formation, permeability and release. Use filterability testing when results matter commercially.
What should be sent for a preliminary review?
Provide dry-solids throughput, feed solids, particle-size data, target cake moisture, operating schedule, elevation and available utilities through the quote request.
Can BOYUN promise cake moisture from the mineral name alone?
No. A defensible target must be tied to representative feed data, test conditions, equipment scope and an agreed operating basis.

Define the Next Engineering Step

Share the feed, throughput, operating target and site constraints. BOYUN will identify missing information and recommend testing, sizing or the appropriate equipment scope.
