Replacement Parts by Function

BOYUN supports defined replacement items for BOYUN disc filters. Availability for other makes is reviewed from drawings, samples and interface measurements.

Filtration

Filter sectors and cloth bags

Replace damaged support surfaces or exhausted media after compatibility review.

Review filter sectors
Ceramic

Porous ceramic plates

Match plate geometry, pore structure, connection and cleaning duty.

Review ceramic plates
Mechanical

Selected seals and wear items

Confirm shaft, valve, drive and discharge interfaces from the installed bill of materials.

Compatibility comes before price

Send the nameplate, BOYUN serial or project number, current part code, assembly drawing, clear photographs and measured interfaces. A similar appearance is not proof of interchangeability.

Specification basis

Data Needed to Identify the Correct Part

A useful quotation identifies the interface and operating duty instead of relying on a photograph or equipment name.

Equipment identityManufacturer, model, serial or project number and year.
Part identityPart code, description, quantity and position in the assembly.
DimensionsCritical mounting, sealing, connection and envelope measurements.
MaterialExisting material and the slurry, temperature and chemical exposure.
ConditionFailure mode, service hours, photos and any changes to the process.
DeliveryRequired quantity, destination, requested date and shipment constraints.
Replacement workflow

From Installed Part to Controlled Replacement

Record the installed condition so a replacement can be checked before dispatch.

1

Identify equipment

Capture the nameplate and project reference.

2

Document the part

Record code, position, photos and critical dimensions.

3

Review duty

Explain wear, damage or process change behind the request.

4

Confirm offer

Check material, quantity, interfaces and lead time in writing.

5

Verify at receipt

Compare the supplied item before installation.

Service-life control

Prevent Repeat Failures

A replacement should address the condition that shortened the original part life.

Inspection

Trend condition

Record wear, leakage, vibration, media damage and cleaning response at planned intervals.

Inventory

Set critical spares

Base stock on failure consequence, consumption, installed quantity and confirmed replenishment time.

Change control

Keep revisions traceable

Record approved material or dimensional changes against the equipment and project documents.

Safety before inspection or maintenance

Stop the equipment and isolate all hazardous energy that can cause rotation, vacuum, pressure, stored mechanical movement, electrical energization or chemical exposure. Follow the site lockout and permit procedure; inspection and maintenance must be performed only by authorized personnel.

Practical answers

Frequently Asked Questions

These answers support project preparation; the final recommendation depends on the actual duty.

Why is representative slurry data required?
Mineral names do not define filterability. Particle-size distribution, mineralogy, clay, reagents, solids and temperature can change cake formation, permeability and release. Use filterability testing when results matter commercially.
What should be sent for a preliminary review?
Provide dry-solids throughput, feed solids, particle-size data, target cake moisture, operating schedule, elevation and available utilities through the quote request.
Can BOYUN promise cake moisture from the mineral name alone?
No. A defensible target must be tied to representative feed data, test conditions, equipment scope and an agreed operating basis.

Define the Next Engineering Step

Share the feed, throughput, operating target and site constraints. BOYUN will identify missing information and recommend testing, sizing or the appropriate equipment scope.
